Watching my father draw was an invitation to do likewise and interest began at age 5. By age 12 I had developed a talent for rendering the figure and by 18 was well on my way, being asked to do projects in high school and the army. It was at the insistence of a VA counselor that I would begin college in search of an art degree. Lifestyle consequences came to play a large part in my training. While serving a term in a Texas prison, I found myself working as an illustrator for the prison school system. Along with technical drawings, my love for pencil, watercolor and ink developed and resulted in a wide variety of subject matter, including prison still life's, landscapes, and architecture.
